Part 2 Architectural Assistant

About the job
We’re seeking an exceptional Part 2 architectural assistant with a minimum of 1 years' UK practice experience to join our team in Leeds and Manchester. This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious, talented individual with excellent design, visualisation and graphic skills. Experience of using Revit is preferable but not essential.

You’ll be exposed to the full scope of our award-winning Leeds and Manchester studio, working on projects across a range of sectors and scales. The successful candidate will be expected to have good knowledge of technical standards, regulations and a developed understanding of building technologies, environmental design and construction methods

We believe that good architecture comes from people whose creativity and ingenuity is appreciated. At our open-plan studios in London, Leeds and Manchester, we’ve created an open, fair and friendly culture which allows our diverse team of talented individuals to flourish. We’ve held an Investors in People Silver accreditation since 2010, which is almost unique in our profession. We put a lot into the development and training of our staff. In return, we expect you to be at the top of your game, ambitious to learn and progress.

We are an equal opportunities employer. We’re committed to making our practice and our industry a diverse, equal and inclusive place to work. We actively encourage applications from under-represented groups in architecture, including Black, Asian and minority ethnic people, people with disabilities and people who identify as being LGBTQIA+.
About the company
At Cartwright Pickard, we’ve been challenging the norm to create inspirational places to live, work and learn for over 20 years. We’re a team of research-led designers who never forget that architecture has the power to improve lives.

We’re different because we prioritise wellbeing, innovation and an honest approach in everything that we do. We have a deep sense of responsibility to our clients, to everyone who experiences our architecture and to the planet.

We design with our head and our heart: with pragmatism and vision. When you work with us, you’ll work with a talented team that knows how to create beautiful buildings and has the technical knowledge to deliver them.

We believe that inspirational places are more than skin deep. Our buildings are well built, perform consistently over time and grow old gracefully. Rather than following the latest fashion, we continue to push the boundaries of our industry with leading research into air quality, modular construction and 7D BIM.
